Builders have a maximum limit for the amount of mass they can carry (on Cuboid that limit is 36 mu) * Builders can obtain mass from structures that produce mass by pressing r at those structures, and builders can regain mass from deconstructing structures. * Builders can transfer mass to other builders by pressing r while near and facing another builder. * When a building is destroyed (not by deconstruction), the mass in that building is lost and unreclaimable. * If a builder dies while carrying mass, that carried mass is lost and unreclaimable. ==== The power system behaves a lot more like power systems in real life ==== * The transmission and reception of power is wireless. * Voltage, current, and resistance are taken into acount, and wp>Kirchhoff's circuit laws apply. Although it can help knowing these laws, that knowledge is not required to use this system. * The power that power sources produce is finite. More buildings use more power, and more power sources make more power available. * Each building requires a minimum amount of power to function at its best, and if the power available to that building is lower than that minimum, the building starts to not function as well. If the power available to that building reduces to below a specified lower threshold, the building stops functioning completely as if there was no power available to that building. * While buildings are activate (for example defensive buildings are attacking, medical stations are used, defense computers are repairing buildings, humans spawn from telenodes), they produce a power surge and use more power * Multiple independent "power networks" can emerge from this system, and power networks can also be merged together. * The construction kit display is used to show relevant information of the current power network you are in, and of the particular buildings you are near & facing. ==== Essential Mass/Power Buildables ==== * RTG: This building is a power source and gradually produces mass. It has a mass storage limit (in Cuboid the default limit is 15). if there are no other RTGs on the map, one RTG can be built without any mass. The building of any additional RTGs requires mass. * The reactor core (aka rc), produces power only, but it produces a lot more power than an RTG. Building RCs require mass (Outside of the required mass, the number of RCs built is not explicitly limited). * Capacitor banks charge from using surrounding power, stores power, then transmits power. These buildings are used for addressing power surges, and can be used as temporary backup power supplies. * Repeaters are used to extend the range of power networks by receiving the power it is in range of, and retransmitting that power. If a repeater is out of range for a specific power network, it cannot retransmit the power from that power network. * Refineries produce mass only and has a maximum mass capacity greater than the RTG. ===== External Links ===== * Cuboid's Code Repo on github ===== See Also ===== * Tremulous Mods Index tremulous/mods/gpp/cuboid.txt Last modified: 2016/02/05 07:00by dgr8lookinsparky
